Take a trip with BirdingLife Tours and help save the rainforest.  Part of our profits go to rainforest conservation and local community development.  With each tour at least one acre of rainforest will be purchased to be protected forever.

Experts estimate that we are losing 137 plant, animal and insect species every single day due to rainforest deforestation. That equates to 50,000 species a year. As the rainforest species disappear, so do many possible cures for life-threatening diseases. Currently, 121 prescription drugs sold worldwide come from plant-derived sources. While 25% of western pharmaceuticals are derived from rainforest ingredients, less than 1% of these tropical trees and plants have been tested by scientists.

Future generations are counting on us to save our rainforests.  A simple and effective way for rainforest conservation is to buy it and work with local communities on sustainable development projects.

What can you do?

The “World Land Trust” with offices in the United States and United Kingdom is an easy and effective way of purchasing, with others, the rainforest so it can be protected forever.
